Einhorn's Green Brick Stake Reads 24.4% — Same 10,336,493 Shares, New Share Count

David Einhorn now reports owning 24.4% of Green Brick Partners, or 10,336,493 shares, in a Schedule 13D amendment (an activist-investor ownership disclosure) filed Friday. The percentage moved only because the company's share count changed; the number of shares held did not.

Same shares, new denominator

The amendment, the 28th to the original filing, says there was no change in the shares beneficially owned by the reporting persons. It was filed solely to update the percentages, with the date of the event listed as October 28, 2026.

The new figures rest on the 42,432,826 shares of common stock outstanding as of October 22, 2026, a count Green Brick gave in its quarterly report for the period ended September 30, 2026, filed October 28, 2026.

How the stake splits across the group

Einhorn's 10,336,493 shares include 9,467,383 on which voting power is shared and 869,110 on which he votes alone.

DME Capital Management holds 8,642,507 shares, or 20.4% of the class. DME Advisors holds 824,876, or 1.9%. DME Advisors GP is credited with 9,467,383 shares, or 22.3%, all with shared voting power.

The homebuilder behind the stake

Green Brick Partners is a homebuilding and land development company that builds homes through seven builder brands in the Dallas-Fort Worth, Austin and Houston areas of Texas, in Atlanta, and on Florida's Treasure Coast. As of December 31, 2025, it owned or had under contract about 48,900 home sites.

The company's market value was $2.7 billion as of Friday's report.

The company's quarterly report supplies the October 22, 2026 share count behind every percentage in the amendment.
