Army Adds $104.6 Million To V2X Communications Contract, With $16.2 Million Obligated Now
The modification lifts the contract's cumulative face value to $813.1 million, with work in four Middle East countries through Oct. 31, 2028.
The Army modified a V2X Systems LLC contract by $104.6 million for operating, maintaining and defending Army communications, the Department of War announced Friday. Only $16.2 million was obligated at the time of award.
Obligated money versus face value
The award is a modification, numbered P00080, to an existing contract, W91RUS-21-C-0001, not a new deal. It brings the contract's total cumulative face value to $813.1 million, according to the announcement.
The money committed now is $16,164,488 in fiscal 2027 operations and maintenance, Army funds. That is the obligated amount at award, not the full $104.6 million.
V2X Systems, of Colorado Springs, Colorado, will perform the work in Kuwait, Jordan, Bahrain and Qatar. Estimated completion is Oct. 31, 2028. Army Contracting Command, Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland, is the contracting activity.
What the contract buys
The contract covers operation, maintenance and defense of Army communications supporting Army operational base communications information systems and infrastructure, the Department said.
V2X, which provides training, supply chain, communications, base operations and aircraft maintenance services mainly to defense customers, reported 2025 revenue of $4.48 billion. The Army was its largest customer at $1.83 billion, followed by the Navy at $1.48 billion. Its assured communications line is one of five service lines.
