Vanguard Capital Management Reports 5.17% Passive Stake In V2X

Vanguard Capital Management holds 5.17% of V2X's common stock, or 1,621,800 shares, according to a Schedule 13G (a passive ownership disclosure) filed Friday. V2X provides training, supply chain, communications and aircraft maintenance services, mainly to defense customers.

Voting power covers a fraction

Vanguard has sole voting power over 236,271 of the 1,621,800 shares and shared voting power over none. The filing lists September 30, 2026 as the event date.

The position is reported on a Rule 13d-3 basis and rolls up holdings of Vanguard funds and affiliates, among them Vanguard Fiduciary Trust Company and Vanguard Global Advisers. Vanguard certified that the shares were acquired and are held in the ordinary course of business, not to change or influence control of V2X. No one other person's interest in the shares exceeds 5%, the filing says.

A defense contractor up 42% this year

V2X, based in Colorado Springs, sells training and simulation, integrated supply chain management, assured communications, mission solutions and aircraft platform renewal services. It earned $4.48 billion in revenue in 2025, with the Army ($1.83 billion) and the Navy ($1.48 billion) as its largest customers, according to its annual report.

Shares were at $80.12 in Friday trading, down about 0.5% from the prior close of $80.52, and the company's market value was about $2.5 billion. The stock was up about 42% year to date through October 28, according to Yahoo Finance.

A commentary by Bailey Pemberton cited a bear-case worry over a weak quarterly book-to-bill ratio (new orders relative to revenue) and the roll-off of Kuwait work. The bull case points to AI-related bids.

V2X is scheduled to report earnings on Monday, November 2.
