Tempus AI CEO Lefkofsky Sells $17.6 Million Of Shares

Tempus AI CEO and Chairman Eric Lefkofsky sold 250,000 shares on Tuesday at an average $70.36, or $17.6 million, under a trading plan he adopted on March 8, 2026, an SEC filing showed Thursday.

Five price tranches, five holders

The sale was spread across entities Lefkofsky controls, in five weighted-average price bands from $67.36 to $72.31. Four of those vehicles did the selling: two Media companies and two foundations, per the filing.

The sales were made under a Rule 10b5-1 plan, a pre-scheduled trading plan filed with the SEC. Lefkofsky says in the filing that he is sole manager of the Media entities and a trustee of both foundations.

After the sale he reported 36,146,625 shares: 2,098,130 held directly and 34,048,495 indirectly through Gray Media, Blue Media, the two foundations and 346 Long LLC. At Thursday's close of $77.84, that stake was worth about $2.81 billion, and the shares sold equal 0.69% of what he reported before the sale.

Sixth sale filing since July 31

Tempus AI runs laboratories and builds software that links lab results to a patient's own clinical data to make diagnostic tests, mainly in cancer, more personal. Its 10-K for 2025 reports more than 8.6 million de-identified patient records as of December 31, 2025.

Lefkofsky's Form 4 filings since July 31 show five earlier sale filings, from August 18 to September 22, totaling 832,591 shares and $59.2 million. With this one, six sale filings come to 1,082,591 shares and $76.8 million.

The earlier sales ranged from 132,591 shares at about $49.61 on August 18 to 200,000 shares at about $80.57 on September 17.

The plan was adopted March 8, 2026, so further scheduled sales could show up in later Form 4 filings.
