Tempus AI's Lefkofsky Plans To Sell 250,000 Shares After Four Accounts Sold 850,000
The $16.8 million proposed sale follows 13 sales across four related accounts that brought in $55,814,261 over three months.
Tempus AI CEO and Chairman Eric Lefkofsky plans to sell 250,000 Class A shares with a stated market value of $16.8 million, according to a Form 144 — the notice insiders file before selling — dated Tuesday. The form lists J.P. Morgan Securities as broker and an approximate sale date of October 27.
Four accounts, 850,000 shares already sold
The same form lists 13 sales over the past three months totaling 850,000 shares and $55,814,261 in gross proceeds. The sellers were four separate accounts, not all of them Lefkofsky's own:
- Blue Media, LLC sold 540,000 shares in four sales for $36,255,022.
- Gray Media, LLC sold 230,000 shares in four sales for $15,441,954.
- Vas.org Foundation sold 50,000 shares in one sale for $2,103,118.
- Lefkofsky Family Foundation sold 30,000 shares in four sales for $2,014,168.
Blue Media, Gray Media and the Lefkofsky Family Foundation each sold on July 28, August 25, September 17 and September 22. Vas.org sold once, on July 28.
Who is selling, and what Tempus does
Tempus AI is a healthcare technology company that runs labs and builds software to personalize diagnostic tests, mainly in cancer, by linking results to a patient's clinical data. According to its latest annual report, its database held more than 8.6 million de-identified patient records as of December 31, 2025.
The form describes Lefkofsky as an officer, director and holder of more than 10% of the shares. It traces the shares to four acquisition lots, some bought directly from the company for cash.
A planned sale on a Form 144 is a notice of intent; a later SEC filing would show whether the 250,000 shares were sold and at what price.
