Molina Healthcare Keeps 2026 Adjusted Earnings Forecast At A Floor Of $5.25 Per Share
The managed-care company also maintains its standard-accounting earnings forecast at at least $2.38 per diluted share.
Molina Healthcare, which provides managed healthcare through government programs and state insurance marketplaces, reaffirmed its 2026 adjusted earnings forecast at at least $5.25 per diluted share Friday. The company also kept its standard-accounting forecast at at least $2.38 per diluted share, according to its SEC filing.
Two Earnings Floors Stay In Place
Both forecasts cover the full year, and both remain minimums rather than fixed earnings targets. Molina's reaffirmation leaves the adjusted and standard-accounting outlooks unchanged as senior management prepares to discuss the business with investors.
The company points investors to its October 21 third-quarter earnings release for the reconciliation between the two forecasts — the explanation connecting its adjusted earnings measure to the standard-accounting figure. The outlook is a forecast of annual earnings, not a report of completed full-year results.
Medicaid Accounts For 75% Of Premiums
Molina's business centers on arranging and paying for medical care. State and federal agencies pay it a fixed monthly premium for each member, and the company pays for the care those members receive.
Medicaid accounted for 75% of premium revenue in 2025. Total premium revenue for the year ended December 31, 2025, was $43,052 million, according to the company's annual report. Molina reports Medicaid, Medicare and Marketplace businesses separately, alongside a small Other segment.
At December 31, 2025, Molina served approximately 5.5 million members in 21 states. Medicaid accounted for about 4,568,000 members, compared with 262,000 in Medicare and 655,000 in Marketplace. Those figures put the Medicaid business at the center of Molina's membership and premium revenue.
Management Takes The Outlook To UBS
Senior management plans to reiterate the forecasts during UBS's Global Healthcare Conference on Monday and in investor discussions. The planned remarks will address Molina's business and financial results, with the annual earnings outlook included in that discussion.
