Astera Labs Director Michael Hurlston Resigns From Board, Citing No Dispute With The Company

Michael Hurlston resigned from the board of Astera Labs, the company said in an 8-K filed Wednesday. He told the company of his decision on Monday, and it took effect Tuesday.

A clean exit, the company says

Hurlston stepped down from the board and from any committees he sat on, effective November 3. He gave notice on November 2, according to the filing.

Astera Labs said there were no disagreements between Hurlston and the company. It also said his resignation was unrelated to its operations, policies or practices.

Philip Mazzara, the company's general counsel, signed the filing on November 4.

The company behind the seat

Astera Labs designs connectivity products and software for cloud and AI data centers, aimed at easing bottlenecks in moving data, memory and network traffic. Its products include retimers, Ethernet modules, memory controllers and switches, managed with its COSMOS software suite.

In 2025, its top three end customers made up about 86% of revenue, according to its annual report. Its shares trade on the Nasdaq Global Select Market under the ticker ALAB.

Hurlston's resignation took effect November 3, one day after he notified the company.
