Xeris Sees Recorlev Reaching $1 Billion In Annual Net Revenue 3 To 4 Years Sooner
CEO John Shannon also lifted the 2030 total revenue outlook to more than $1 billion from $750 million after a 44% jump in quarterly revenue.
Xeris Biopharma, which sells treatments for chronic endocrine and neurological diseases, now sees its Cushing's syndrome drug Recorlev reaching $1 billion in annual net revenue three to four years sooner than it projected before, CEO John Shannon said on the company's third-quarter earnings call Thursday. He also raised the 2030 total revenue outlook to more than $1 billion, from $750 million.
A bigger 2030 target
Shannon said the company is on a path to more than a billion in total revenue in 2030, up from the $750 million outlook it first gave in June 2025. He credited the expanded sales team, whose "productivity is now running ahead of our expectations and is the key driver behind the upward revision of our 2026 and our 2030 outlooks."
An analyst at Oppenheimer asked what assumptions changed. CFO Steve Pieper said all three brands should contribute, "primarily led by" Recorlev, and noted the target is "only three short years away."
Xeris also raised 2026 revenue guidance to $395 million to $405 million, about 37% growth at the midpoint. Shares rose about 25% to $13.06 in Thursday trading, for a market value of about $1.9 billion.
Recorlev drives a 44% revenue jump
Third-quarter revenue was $107.2 million, up 44% from a year earlier and 16% from the second quarter, Pieper said. Recorlev net revenue was $71.5 million, up 93%, or $34.6 million. Adjusted EBITDA, a profit measure, rose 77% to $30.8 million, and net income was $11.3 million against $0.6 million a year earlier.
Gvoke, the ready-to-use glucagon for severe low blood sugar, brought in $21.7 million, down from $25.2 million, on a $4 million one-time Medicaid adjustment. Prescription demand grew 5% year over year. Keveyis, for a rare muscle disorder, added about $13 million, up 9%, its fourth straight quarter of year-over-year growth.
SG&A spending was $64.1 million, up $17.6 million, mostly on commercial staffing. Xeris now expects 2026 SG&A to rise about $60 million, up from $50 million.
Thyroid injection trial by year-end
Xeris plans to start the pivotal Cornerstone study of XP8121, its once-weekly levothyroxine injection for hypothyroidism, by year-end. Topline data are expected in late 2028, with potential approval and launch in 2030. Shannon put its peak sales potential at $1 billion to $3 billion.
Asked about extra cash from the higher outlook, Shannon said the priority is investing in current products and XP8121, with business development after that.
Cornerstone, the pivotal trial that underpins the 2030 launch plan for XP8121, is due to begin by the end of this year.
