Walker & Dunlop Triples Its Revolving Credit Commitments To $150 Million
The lender also tripled its letter of credit commitments to $75 million in an amendment to its JPMorgan-administered credit agreement.
Walker & Dunlop, the commercial real estate finance company, tripled its revolving credit commitments to $150 million from $50 million, according to an 8-K filed Friday. The amendment took effect Monday, and it also lifts the company's letter of credit commitments from $25 million to $75 million.
Amendment adds $100 million of capacity
Walker & Dunlop signed Amendment No. 1 to its Amended and Restated Credit Agreement, dated March 14, 2025, on Monday. The company is the borrower, and JPMorgan Chase Bank, N.A. serves as administrative agent for the lenders party to the agreement.
The revolving commitments rise by $100 million, from $50 million to $150 million. The letter of credit commitments, which the filing lists alongside the revolver, rise by $50 million, from $25 million to $75 million. The amendment changes those terms "among other things," the filing says.
The filing also notes that some of the lenders and their affiliates have other relationships with Walker & Dunlop and its subsidiaries. Those include other credit facilities with company affiliates, cash management, investment banking, trust and hedging services.
A lender that runs on funding lines
Walker & Dunlop provides commercial real estate lending, property sales, appraisal, investment management and affordable housing services in the United States. It originates, sells and services multifamily loans through Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac and the Federal Housing Administration, and brokers loans funded by life insurance companies, banks and other institutions.
Its fees come from loan origination, brokerage, property sales commissions, servicing, asset management and housing research subscriptions. The company reports three segments: Capital Markets, Servicing & Asset Management, and Corporate.
According to its annual report for the year ended December 31, 2025, its investment management arm had $2.7 billion of assets under management. It also had correspondent agreements with 23 independent loan originators as of that date.
The amended agreement now gives Walker & Dunlop $150 million of revolving commitments and $75 million of letter of credit commitments under JPMorgan's administration.
