TIC Solutions Raises Sales Outlook After $639.6 Million Quarter — NV5 Drives Much Of Growth
Combined-company sales rose 12.5%, while pending engineering and mapping work reached a record $1.29 billion.
TIC Solutions, which supplies inspection, engineering and mapping services, raised its full-year sales outlook Thursday after quarterly revenue hit a record $639.6 million, with the NV5 acquisition accounting for much of the growth. The company also narrowed its adjusted earnings forecast range, according to the earnings release accompanying its SEC filing.
Separating NV5 From Business Growth
Revenue rose 35% from $473.9 million in the third quarter a year earlier. A comparison that includes NV5 throughout both periods puts growth at 12.5%; excluding material acquisitions and currency changes, growth was 8.4%.
The distinction matters because TIC completed its NV5 purchase on August 4, 2025. Earlier results cover legacy Acuren alone, so the reported comparison includes a greater contribution from NV5 in 2026. TIC's combined figures add NV5's earlier revenue to the comparison period.
Adjusted earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization were $107.2 million, against $77.3 million a year earlier. That represents 39% growth as reported, or 19% using the combined-company comparison. The adjusted margin reached 16.8%, an improvement of approximately 0.90 percentage points on that combined basis.
TIC shares rose about 8% to $10.36 in Friday trading. The company's market value was $2.1 billion in Friday trading.
Engineering And Mapping Work Builds
Pending work across Consulting & Engineering and Geospatial reached a record $1.29 billion, up 23% year over year. Chief Executive Officer Ben Heraud said revenue increased in every segment and that selling services across the company's businesses was contributing to growth excluding acquisitions and currency changes.
“Investment in aging infrastructure, energy, data centers, and digitization continues to support demand for our services,” Heraud said.
TIC tests industrial equipment without damaging it, supplies maintenance and engineering support, and gathers and analyzes geographic information. Its customers include utilities, industrial operators, building owners, transportation authorities and government agencies. Revenue comes from service contracts, maintenance, individual projects and mapping software subscriptions.
Management now forecasts 2026 revenue of $2,240 million to $2,270 million. Its narrowed forecast for adjusted earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization is $342 million to $350 million.
A Smaller Loss, Cash Still Trails
The quarterly net loss narrowed to $11.1 million from $13.9 million. The diluted loss was $0.05 per share, compared with adjusted earnings of $0.18 per share. TIC's adjusted per-share measure excludes acquisition-related intangible-asset amortization, stock pay, transaction and integration expenses, and other specified costs, with tax adjustments.
Operating income was $15.992 million, versus an operating loss of $6.513 million a year earlier. Net interest expense totaled $29.251 million for the quarter.
Cash generation was weaker over the first nine months: operating activities brought in $36.636 million, compared with $45.330 million a year earlier. Acquisition spending, net of cash purchased, totaled $179.985 million during those nine months.
At quarter-end, TIC had $293.3 million in cash and available borrowing capacity, including $197.9 million in cash. Term-loan debt stood at $1.6 billion after unamortized issuance costs.
The larger business is delivering higher sales and adjusted earnings, but its first-nine-month net loss was $66.003 million, compared with $39.916 million a year earlier.
