Motorola Solutions CEO Gregory Q Brown Plans To Sell 70,780 Shares Worth $36.4 Million

Gregory Q Brown, chairman and CEO of Motorola Solutions, which makes safety and security technology, plans to sell 70,780 shares with a stated aggregate market value of $36.4 million. Brown submitted the planned-sale notice to the SEC Friday; Motorola Solutions shares had gained about 35% this year through Thursday's close.

Friday Is The Proposed Sale Date

Brown's notice sets Friday as the approximate sale date and names Morgan Stanley Smith Barney's Executive Financial Services as the broker. The proposed transaction covers common shares.

The notice is a Form 144, which reports an intended stock sale. The $36.4 million figure is the shares' stated aggregate market value, rather than proceeds from a completed transaction.

September Sale Brought $6.9 Million

Brown sold 14,220 shares on September 2, 2026, receiving $6,899,855 in proceeds before expenses. That was the single sale reported for the past three months in Friday's notice.

The proposed sale follows that completed transaction, while the stock's roughly 35% year-to-date gain is measured through Thursday's close.
