Lucid Delivered 3,806 Vehicles But Built Only 2,954 In Third Quarter, 8-K Shows

Lucid Group delivered 3,806 vehicles in the third quarter of 2026 and produced 2,954, according to a press release attached to an 8-K filed Monday. The 852-vehicle gap came from selling down existing inventory.

What the release says

The quarter ended September 30, 2026. Lucid said deliveries topped output because it kept running its planned inventory reduction, turning cars already built into customer sales.

That reduction belongs to what the company calls its previously announced operating reset, which targets $1.4 billion of cash flow improvements in 2026.

Production fell from the prior quarter. Lucid tied that drop to the elimination of a second shift at its AMP-1 plant in June, a step it had announced earlier. The company also said demand for the Lucid Gravity "continued to regain momentum."

What it changes

Lucid is deliberately holding output below sales, so the company is building fewer cars than it sells while stockpiles shrink. The release describes this as aligning production with near-term demand.

The announcement carries no financial results. A footnote says net income and cash flow will come with third-quarter earnings, and that production and delivery counts are "only one measure" of operating performance and should not be treated as sole indicators of financial results.

In Monday trading, LCID closed at $4.17 and was unchanged at $4.17 in after-hours trading, a lighter session.

What to watch

Lucid will hold its earnings call on Monday, November 9, 2026, at 5:30 p.m. ET (2:30 p.m. PT), and will issue an earnings release beforehand.

Shareholders can submit and upvote questions through Say Technologies from October 23 until 5:30 p.m. ET on November 6. Management will answer a selection on the call.

The November 9 call is where Lucid will put net income and cash flow figures next to these unit counts.
