LeMaitre Vascular President David Roberts Plans To Retire December 31 But Keep His Board Seat

LeMaitre Vascular President David B. Roberts told the company on October 9 that he intends to retire as an employee, including as President, effective December 31, 2026, according to an 8-K the company filed Thursday. He plans to stay on the board of directors.

What the 8-K says

The filing, made under Item 5.02, the section that covers departures of directors and certain officers, says Roberts gave notice on Friday, October 9. His retirement covers his job as an employee of the company as well as the presidency, and takes effect December 31, 2026.

Roberts is not leaving the board. The 8-K says stockholders reelected him as a director at the 2026 annual meeting for a term ending in 2029, and that he intends to keep serving on the board after he retires as President.

The company thanked Roberts for his 29 years of executive service. It said it is pleased to retain his "Board-level services going forward."

What it changes

The change is to Roberts's role, not to his seat. From January, if he follows through as stated, he would sit on the board without holding the President title or an employee job at LeMaitre.

The filing names no successor to the President role. It is signed by Chief Financial Officer Dorian P. LeBlanc.

LMAT shares closed at $83.16 in Thursday trading, up 0.65% from the prior session's $82.62, before the filing was accepted at 4:11 p.m. ET. That move came before the news was public.

What to watch

The retirement as an employee and as President takes effect December 31, 2026. His board term, per the filing, runs to 2029.

The next fixed date in the filing is December 31, 2026, when Roberts's employment and presidency end and his board service continues.
