CrowdStrike CEO George Kurtz Sells $11.2 Million Of Stock Under Pre-Set Plan

CrowdStrike CEO George Kurtz sold 45,395 shares on Monday and Tuesday at an average of $247.67, a transaction valued at $11.2 million, according to a Form 4, the report insiders file after trading. Of those shares, 28,395 were sold to cover taxes due on vesting stock units.

What Kurtz sold and what he keeps

Kurtz, who is president and CEO of CrowdStrike, holds 7,296,109 shares after the sales, the filing shows. At Wednesday's close of $241.00, that stake is worth an estimated $1.76 billion, and the sale amounts to 0.62% of his reported holding before the filing.

The filing says the open-market sales include shares sold under a pre-scheduled trading plan adopted on January 16, 2026. The 28,395 tax-cover shares were sold to meet withholding due on vesting restricted stock units, as required under the company's administrative policies, the filing says.

A steady run since August

Kurtz has sold regularly. Earlier filings show 36 sale filings covering 32 trade days from August 4 to October 29, totaling 701,539.978 shares and $165.0 million. Counting this filing, sales since August 6 come to 746,934.978 shares and $176.2 million.

Most of those earlier sales were 20,000-share lots. The largest single day was September 21, when he sold 84,515 shares at about $240.13 for $20.3 million.

CrowdStrike's week and its stock

CrowdStrike sells cybersecurity software through its Falcon platform, a cloud-based system that uses one lightweight sensor to detect and stop breaches. It also offers managed detection and response, in which its own team monitors threats for customers.

On Monday it unveiled an AI kill switch for its Falcon Guardian platform, and on Tuesday it agreed to buy AI agent security firms Fiddler AI and Dreadnode, according to TheStreet. CNBC reported the shares closed at a record $278 on October 6 and have since fallen about 12%.

As of Tuesday's close, the split-adjusted 52-week range ran from $85.68 to $286.99.

Further Form 4 filings under the same plan will show whether Kurtz keeps selling at this pace.
