Insmed CFO Sara Bonstein To Leave October 30, Staying Through The Earnings Call

Insmed Chief Financial Officer Sara Bonstein will leave the company effective October 30, the biotech said in an 8-K filed Monday. The company has begun a search for her successor and reaffirmed its full-year 2026 guidance in the same release.

What the 8-K says

Under Item 5.02 of the filing, Insmed said Bonstein's separation is not related to any disagreement with the company over its accounting practices, financial statements, internal controls or operations. The filing says she will receive the benefits set out in Section 6.e of her Amended and Restated Employment Agreement, dated April 1, 2022.

Bonstein will remain CFO through the third-quarter report. She will take part in the earnings call on Thursday, October 29, which begins at 8:00 a.m. ET, according to the press release.

Bonstein said in the release that "now is an ideal time for me to pursue my ambition for a broader leadership role." The company said it has hired an executive search firm to find the next CFO.

Guidance unchanged

Insmed reaffirmed 2026 revenue guidance of $1.25 billion to $1.40 billion for BRINSUPRI and $450 million to $470 million for ARIKAYCE.

Chair and CEO Will Lewis credited Bonstein with leading the finance organization while Insmed raised more than $4.2 billion in capital. He said the company is "well positioned to reach cash flow positivity next year" and sees what he called a clear path toward sustained top-line growth and bottom-line profitability.

What to watch

Insmed reports third-quarter results on Thursday, October 29, Bonstein's last earnings call as CFO. A webcast will be archived on the company's website for 90 days. The release does not name a successor.

The call on October 29 comes one day before Bonstein's exit date.
