Bausch + Lomb Posts $32 Million Quarterly Profit, Raises Revenue And Adjusted EBITDA Outlook
Revenue rose 7% to $1.375 billion as all three segments grew, and the eye health company lifted its 2026 guidance.
Bausch + Lomb, which makes contact lenses, eye drops, surgical lenses and other eye health products, earned $32 million in the third quarter, against a $28 million loss a year earlier, and raised its 2026 revenue and adjusted EBITDA guidance, it said Wednesday. Revenue rose 7% as reported to $1.375 billion, and 8% excluding currency effects.
Every segment grew
Pharmaceuticals grew fastest, up 11% to $367 million, driven by MIEBO and higher international pharmaceutical sales. MIEBO revenue grew 42% to $119 million in the quarter, the company said.
Surgical revenue rose 9% to $234 million, led by premium intraocular lenses, the kind implanted during cataract surgery. Vision Care, the largest segment, rose 5% to $774 million, or about 6% excluding currency, on daily SiHy and ULTRA contact lenses plus LUMIFY and Artelac in consumer eye care.
Operating income reached $155 million from $95 million, which the company credited to revenue growth and operating efficiencies. Adjusted EBITDA, a non-GAAP measure, rose to $325 million from $243 million. Cash flow from operations was $233 million, up from $137 million. Adjusted earnings per share were $0.34, against $0.18; standard earnings per share were $0.09, against a loss of $0.08.
A higher bar for 2026
The company now expects full-year revenue of $5.450 billion to $5.550 billion, from $5.440 billion to $5.540 billion in July. It said the change reflects a $15 million increase in the underlying business outlook, partly offset by a $5 million cut in expected currency tailwinds.
Adjusted EBITDA excluding acquired in-process research and development is now guided to $1.090 billion to $1.140 billion, up from $1.025 billion to $1.075 billion.
Management's read
Thomas J. Appio, chairman and interim CEO, said the company has delivered against its Investor Day commitments for four consecutive quarters and sees "additional opportunities to improve execution, enhance profitability and create even more value over time."
For the first nine months, the company reported a net loss of $53 million, against a $302 million loss a year earlier. Cash and restricted cash stood at $515 million at September 30. Bausch Health Companies directly or indirectly held about 88% of the common shares as of February 11, 2026.
The company held its earnings call at 8 a.m. ET on Wednesday, with a replay available until November 11.
