It also announced a 5.2% dividend increase, according to its earnings release.

Immunology drives the quarter

Immunology sales rose 16.3% to $9.165 billion. Skyrizi reached $5.776 billion, up 22.7%, and Rinvoq hit $2.706 billion, up 23.9%. Humira, the older franchise, fell 31.2% to $683 million.

Diluted earnings per share were $2.37 on standard accounting and $3.82 on an adjusted basis, each more than double a year earlier. Those figures absorb a $0.11 per-share hit from acquired research and milestone expenses. Net earnings attributable to AbbVie were $4.218 billion, against $186 million a year ago.

Neuroscience grew 19.4% to $3.389 billion, with Vraylar at $1.068 billion, Botox Therapeutic at $1.080 billion and Qulipta up 38.2% to $398 million. A higher forecast and a bigger payout

AbbVie now expects 2026 adjusted earnings of $13.95 to $13.99 per share, up from $13.76 to $13.96. The range includes a $0.69 per-share hit from acquired research and milestone costs through the third quarter, and excludes any such costs incurred after it.

The quarterly dividend will rise to $1.82 from $1.73, starting with the payment due February 16, 2027 to holders of record on January 15, 2027. AbbVie says it belongs to the S&P Dividend Aristocrats Index, which tracks companies that have raised dividends for at least 25 consecutive years.

"Given our strong outlook and significant momentum, we are once again increasing AbbVie's full-year guidance and raising our quarterly dividend," said Robert A. Michael, chairman and chief executive.

Apogee closes, pipeline widens

AbbVie completed its acquisition of Apogee Therapeutics, adding zumilokibart, a late-stage antibody for atopic dermatitis, and APG273, a long-acting candidate for asthma.

The FDA approved Juvmo (tavapadon) for Parkinson's disease and approved Skyrizi for under-the-skin induction in Crohn's disease. AbbVie also submitted an FDA application for etentamig in relapsed or refractory multiple myeloma, and its lutikizumab trial in hidradenitis suppurativa met its main goal.

AbbVie held its investor call at 8:00 a.m. Central Time on Friday to walk through the quarter.
