Zoetis Names Cannes Festival President Iris Knobloch To Board, Expanding It To 13 Seats

Zoetis appointed Iris Knobloch to its board and will raise the board's size from 12 to 13 members, an 8-K shows. The board approved the move on October 8, and the company announced it Tuesday.

What the 8-K says

Knobloch's seat takes effect December 1, 2026, and the board will grow from twelve to thirteen members on that date. She has been assigned to the Corporate Governance Committee, according to the filing.

The filing says she was not appointed under any arrangement with a third party. It also says there have been no related-party transactions with the company that would need to be reported since the start of the last fiscal year.

She will be eligible for the non-employee director pay program described in the company's April 8, 2026 proxy statement. Zoetis will also sign its standard indemnification agreement with her.

Who Knobloch is

According to the company's press release, Knobloch has been president of the Festival de Cannes since July 2022 and is the first woman in that role. She sits on the boards of Deezer, Lazard and Vail Resorts, and has chaired Deezer's board since January 2023.

She has been a Lazard director since April 2018 and a Vail Resorts director since February 2024. Earlier, she held senior roles at WarnerMedia and its predecessor companies, including president of WarnerMedia in France, Germany, the Benelux, Austria and Switzerland.

Her past boards include Accor, LVMH Moet Hennessy Louis Vuitton, Central European Media Enterprises and Axel Springer. She holds a law doctorate from Ludwig-Maximilians-Universitaet and a Master of Laws from New York University.

What the company said

CEO Kristin Peck said Knobloch brings "a rare combination of strengths: deep expertise in consumer strategy, extensive digital transformation and technology experience." Peck said her experience will help as Zoetis looks at "new ways to connect with pet owners."

Board Chair Michael McCallister called her "a deep understanding of evolving consumer behavior that will be an asset to our Board." Zoetis says it supports veterinarians, livestock producers and pet owners in over 100 countries.

Zoetis shares closed at $75.65 on Monday, up 1.12% for that session, before the announcement.

Knobloch joins on December 1, when the board reaches 13 seats.
