Vanguard Portfolio Management Reports 5.46% Passive Stake In VSE

Vanguard Portfolio Management holds 1,534,486 shares of VSE, or 5.46% of the common stock, according to a passive ownership filing (Schedule 13G) submitted Friday. VSE, which sells aftermarket aircraft parts and provides repair and overhaul services, saw its shares fall 6.61% to $144.77 in Friday trading, from a prior close of $155.02.

A passive position, by the filer's word

The filing lists September 30, 2026 as the event date. Vanguard Portfolio Management is classed as an investment adviser, and its report also covers affiliates Vanguard Fiduciary Trust Company and Vanguard Global Advisers, which sit within the reported total.

Sole voting power covers 12,567 of the shares, with none shared. The rest are held without voting authority by the reporting unit.

The certification states the shares were acquired and are held in the ordinary course of business, not to change or influence control of VSE.

What VSE does, and how the stock has fared

VSE supplies aircraft parts through global distribution centers and repairs components and engine accessories at its own facilities. Its customers include airlines, cargo carriers, MRO providers, manufacturers and owners of corporate aircraft. After selling its Fleet and Federal and Defense businesses, it runs as a single Aviation segment.

The shares trade in a 52-week range of $138.85 to $247.85 and are down 15.50% this year, per Yahoo Finance coverage. A fund letter said investors have focused on integrating the company's largest-ever acquisition and the higher debt that came with it.

CEO John Cuomo is scheduled to present at the Baird conference on November 10 and the RBC conference on November 17.
