StandardAero Stock Soars 8.02% After Raised Outlook — Adding $672 Million In Market Value

StandardAero, which maintains and repairs aircraft engines, soared 8.02% to $27.33 in Friday trading, as of 2:31 p.m. ET, adding $672 million in market value. The gain followed Thursday’s results and a raised outlook for sales and adjusted earnings, according to the company’s SEC filing.

Profit Growth Outpaces Sales

StandardAero’s third-quarter net income reached $92.8 million, a 36.2% increase from a year earlier. Revenue for the third quarter of 2026 was $1,557.4 million, up 4.0% year over year.

The higher outlook came despite weaker earnings in the component repair business. Alongside the results, the board expanded the buyback authorization by $560.0 million, taking the total to $1.0 billion; $850.0 million remained available.

Chief Executive Paul McElhinney outlined plans for an accelerated share repurchase on Thursday’s earnings call.

A Rebound Within A Down Year

Friday’s advance put StandardAero on pace for its second gain of 7% or more this month. Its market value stood at $9.04 billion in Friday trading, as of 2:31 p.m. ET.

The stock’s recovery had already gathered ground before the results: shares rose 20% over the month through Thursday’s close. But at Thursday’s close, they were still down 12% for the year, versus an 8% gain for the S&P 500, and 24% below their highest close of the past year.

Engine Servicing Anchors The Business

StandardAero works between aircraft-engine manufacturers and operators, servicing engines for commercial, military and business aviation. Its services span scheduled maintenance, unexpected repairs, overhauls, component repairs and support in the field, alongside asset management and engineering work.

Manufacturer licenses give it exclusive or semi-exclusive servicing rights for several engine platforms, in exchange for authorization fees. The component repair operation also serves land, marine, and oil and gas customers.

The company serves approximately 5,000 customers globally. Approximately 80% of revenue in the year ended December 31, 2025, came from customers under long-term agreements.
