Solaris Energy Infrastructure Lands 900-Megawatt Power Deal With 15-Year Terms
A subsidiary will supply power equipment and operations services to an existing investment-grade customer, with deployments starting in the first half of 2027.
Solaris Energy Infrastructure, which provides modular power generation and distribution equipment, said in an 8-K filed Thursday that a subsidiary agreed to supply about 900 megawatts of power generation and related services to an existing customer. Each deployment carries a 15-year initial term, with an option to extend for another 15 years.
Terms of the 900-megawatt agreement
The package covers power generation, associated balance-of-plant equipment and operations and maintenance services, the company said. The agreement was entered into Thursday.
The buyer is described as a leading, investment-grade, diversified industrial and technology company that already does business with Solaris.
Deployments are expected to begin in the first half of 2027 and scale through 2028. If the customer exercises the extension option, a deployment could run 30 years in total.
Where the deal fits the business
Houston-based Solaris, according to its annual report for the year ended December 31, 2025, serves U.S. data center, energy and other commercial and industrial customers. Its Solaris Power Solutions segment supplies flexible, on-demand power infrastructure, and one data center customer made up 88% of that segment's revenue in 2025.
The company's other segment, Solaris Logistics Solutions, makes equipment and provides field support and software for handling materials used in completing oil and natural gas wells.
The first deployments are expected in the first half of 2027, with the ramp continuing through 2028.
