Profound Medical Guides Third-Quarter Revenue To $9.8 Million–$10.0 Million, About 45% Over Bloomberg Consensus
The company's preliminary, unaudited figures point to 85% to 89% growth from a year ago, with gross margin again expected above 70%.
Profound Medical expects third-quarter revenue of $9.8 million to $10.0 million, up about 85% to 89% from $5.3 million a year earlier, according to preliminary, unaudited figures in an 8-K filed Wednesday. The range sits about 45% to 47% above the Bloomberg mean analyst estimate of $6.78 million, the company said.
What the filing says
The 8-K, filed under Item 2.02, furnishes a press release with preliminary results for the three months ended September 30, 2026. Profound makes MRI-guided treatment devices.
Compared with the second quarter's $2.5 million, expected revenue is up about 292% to 300%. Gross margin, the share of sales left after direct costs, is again expected to exceed 70%.
The Bloomberg consensus figure was compiled as of Wednesday at 9:02 a.m. ET, according to the release. The company added that it does not endorse, adopt or control third-party estimates.
What management said
CEO and Chairman Arun Menawat called the expected result "a historic milestone for Profound." He attributed the growth to "increased commercial activity across our installed base and new customer accounts."
Menawat also said the company remains focused on "building a profitable growth company over the long-term."
The release carries a caution: the figures are preliminary and unaudited, and actual revenue may differ. It also says the outlook is highly subjective and should not be relied on as necessarily indicative of future results.
The stock and the next date

Profound intends to report full third-quarter results after the market close on Thursday, November 5. A conference call is set for 4:30 p.m. ET that day.
Full results on November 5 will show how far the final revenue lands from the preliminary $9.8 million to $10.0 million range.
