A theater chain heading into earnings

AMC Entertainment operates movie theaters in the United States and Europe. As of December 31, 2025, it owned, leased or operated 855 theatres and 9,640 screens in 11 countries, and its revenue comes mainly from box office admissions, followed by food and beverage sales.

AMC shares traded at $3.24 in Monday trading, up 5.88% from the prior close of $3.06, for a market value of about $2.7 billion.

Management has pointed to strong demand for premium screens such as IMAX and Dolby Cinema, and to a subscription program that passed 1.1 million members in the second quarter, according to a Zacks report. That report also cites a consensus revenue estimate of $1.66 billion for the third quarter.

AMC is due to report third-quarter results Wednesday after the market close.
