Palo Alto Networks CEO Nikesh Arora Files To Sell 500,000 Shares Valued At $201.4 Million

Palo Alto Networks CEO and Chairman Nikesh Arora gave notice of a planned sale of 500,000 shares, which the filing values at $201.4 million in aggregate market value. The notice, a Form 144 (the advance notice insiders file before selling), was filed Tuesday.

What the notice says

The filing names Wells Fargo Securities as the broker and gives an approximate sale date of 10/12/2026. It states no per-share price for the sale.

Arora acquired the shares in 2018, according to the form. The form does not say how many shares he will hold afterward.

What it changes

Nothing has been sold yet on the strength of this document alone. A Form 144 is notice of intent, so the actual sale may be smaller, staggered or not happen at all.

Any completed sale would show up in a later insider filing.

The shares sit at a high point for the year. Palo Alto Networks stock closed Tuesday at $397.03, up 115.5% this year and 86.2% over the past 12 months, within a 52-week range of $139.57 to $432.32. The 2025 year-end closing price, the baseline for this year's gain, was $184.20.

The next piece of evidence is a later insider filing reporting what Arora actually sold, if anything.
