OnKure Reports $163.3 Million In Cash, Enough To Last Into 2029, And Launches A Vascular Registry

OnKure Therapeutics, a clinical-stage biotech developing precision cancer and vascular-anomaly drugs, ended September with $163.3 million in cash and securities, which it expects to fund operations into 2029. The company also said Wednesday it is starting PANORAMA, a registry of people living with vascular anomalies.

A cash pile nearly triple year-end

The cash and marketable securities balance compares with $59.1 million at the end of 2025, according to the company's balance sheet. Stockholders' equity stood at $157.7 million, against $56.2 million at year-end.

OnKure reported a third-quarter net loss of $17.8 million, or $0.36 per share, versus $14.7 million, or $1.09 per share, a year earlier. Weighted average shares outstanding were about 49.9 million, against about 13.5 million, which is why the per-share loss shrank while the total loss grew.

Research and development spending rose to $15.1 million from $11.9 million, driven mainly by outsourced preclinical work, manufacturing and consulting. General and administrative costs reached $4.3 million from $3.6 million, on higher personnel and consulting costs. Interest income was $1.5 million, up from $0.8 million.

For the first nine months, the net loss was $48.3 million, compared with $46.0 million a year earlier.

PANORAMA and two IND filings

OnKure designs small-molecule drugs aimed at mutated forms of a cancer-driving protein called PI3Kα while sparing the normal version. It has no approved products.

PANORAMA is a large, multiregional registry meant to track the natural course of vascular anomalies and how patients are treated. It will include retrospective and prospective analyses, and genotyping will be offered to all participants.

The company's next-generation candidates are OKI-355 for vascular anomalies and OKI-345 for breast cancer. OnKure plans to submit Investigational New Drug applications, the FDA filings needed to begin human testing, for both in the first half of 2027.

What management says

"Both of our lead programs remain on track for IND submissions in the first half of 2027," said CEO Nicholas Saccomano. Chief Medical Officer Samuel Agresta said the registry is "designed to generate insights that may inform future research and treatment strategies."

OnKure's next milestones are the two IND submissions planned for the first half of 2027.
