ManpowerGroup Picks Becky Frankiewicz To Replace CEO Jonas Prising On January 1, 2027
Prising will stay as Executive Chair through December 31, 2027, then leave the board, and Frankiewicz's severance protection rises.
ManpowerGroup's board appointed President and Chief Strategy Officer Rebecca "Becky" Frankiewicz as CEO, effective January 1, 2027, an 8-K filing shows. Jonas Prising, who has been CEO since 2014, retires from that role and becomes Executive Chair.
What the 8-K says
The board made the appointments on October 13, 2026, the filing says, and the company announced them in a press release dated Thursday. Frankiewicz, 55, also joins the board, which grows from eleven to twelve directors on the same date. She will stand for election at the 2027 annual shareholder meeting.
Prising's letter agreement has him serve as Executive Chair through December 31, 2027, after which he steps down from the board. The company's press release says Frankiewicz will be the fifth CEO in its almost 80-year history.
Lead Director Julie Howard said the move followed "an extensive succession planning process." Prising said that leading the company over the past twelve years "has been a great honor."
The pay terms
Effective January 1, 2027, Frankiewicz's base salary rises to $1,150,000 and her target annual cash incentive to 150% of salary. Her 2027 target long-term incentive is $7,500,000.
Her amended severance letter is otherwise similar to the one described in the March 23, 2026 proxy filing. The change: if she is terminated without cause or resigns for good reason within two years after a change of control, or during a protected period, the payout rises from two to three times salary plus target bonus.
As Executive Chair, Prising gets a $1,000,000 salary, a target bonus of 140% of salary and a 2027 long-term incentive target of $5,200,000, with continued eligibility for retirement vesting treatment. His ordinary severance rights end on the transition date. If he is fired without cause or quits for good reason before December 31, 2027, he would receive a lump sum equal to the salary through that date, subject to signing a release, and stay eligible for a 2027 bonus.
Her background
Frankiewicz joined in July 2017 as regional president for North America, after running Quaker Foods North America at PepsiCo. She became Chief Commercial Officer in June 2022 and was named President and Chief Strategy Officer in June 2025. The company says she has led the integration of AI across its Manpower, Experis and Talent Solutions brands.
She has sat on the board of Energizer Holdings since January 2020. She will not serve on board committees or receive director fees.
ManpowerGroup shares closed at $51.96 on Wednesday, before the news came out Thursday morning; Frankiewicz's board election comes at the 2027 annual meeting.
