Green Brick Partners Puts Co-CEO Jed Dolson On Its Board, Now Seven Directors
Dolson's seat runs to the 2027 annual meeting, where he will stand for re-election, as the homebuilder's board expands to seven.
Green Brick Partners, the Texas homebuilder, appointed Co-Chief Executive Officer Jed Dolson to its board on Thursday, effective immediately, and expanded the board to seven directors at the same time. The company disclosed the move in an 8-K filed Monday after the market close.
A seat that runs to 2027
Dolson will serve as a director for a term ending at the 2027 Annual Meeting of Stockholders, where he will stand for re-election, the filing says.
The board's enlargement to seven directors happened concurrently with his appointment, so his seat is a new one created by that expansion.
The company also said there are no arrangements or understandings between Dolson and any other person concerning his appointment. Neither Dolson nor any immediate family member has taken part in a transaction, or a currently proposed one, with the company that is reportable under Item 404(a) of Regulation S-K, the SEC's rule on related-party dealings.
A builder with seven brands
Green Brick buys and develops land and builds homes through seven builder brands, according to its annual report for the fiscal year ended December 31, 2025. Its single-family homes, townhomes, condos and luxury homes are sold in the Dallas-Fort Worth, Austin and Houston areas of Texas, in Atlanta, and on Florida's Treasure Coast.
The company also offers mortgage, title and insurance agency services to buyers. As of December 31, 2025, it owned or had under contract about 48,900 home sites and had about 620 full-time employees, roughly 500 of them in homebuilding operations.
What holders will vote on
Dolson already holds a top management post as Co-CEO. Stockholders will get their say on his board seat at the 2027 annual meeting, when he comes up for re-election.
Dolson's first test as a director comes at the 2027 Annual Meeting of Stockholders, when he stands for re-election.
