A GLP-1 nausea trial lands the same day
Vanda develops and sells prescription drugs. Its commercial products are Fanapt, HETLIOZ, PONVORY and NEREUS, which was approved in December 2025 for preventing motion-induced vomiting.
On Tuesday the company announced positive results from a late-stage trial of Nereus (tradipitant), an oral drug meant to prevent vomiting tied to GLP-1 weight-loss and diabetes injections. Vomiting occurred in 43.0% of treated patients versus 58.5% on placebo.
Vanda shares closed at $3.99 on Tuesday, for a market value of $238 million.
Vanda plans to discuss the results with the FDA before submitting a supplemental New Drug Application for preventing GLP-1-related vomiting.
