Ball Names Chief Growth Officer And Supply Chain Chief To Run Two Beverage Units
One appointment is effective immediately and one starts January 1, 2027, the company said in an 8-K.
Ball said Monday in an 8-K filing that Carey Causey, its chief growth officer, is now president of Beverage Packaging North and Central America, succeeding Kathleen Pitre, who is leaving the company. Scott Vail, its chief supply chain and operations officer, will become president of Beverage Packaging EMEA on January 1, 2027.
What the filing says
Causey's appointment is effective immediately. Pitre, who held the North and Central America job, will leave the company.
Vail replaces Mandy Glew in EMEA. Glew steps down from the presidency effective December 31, 2026, and will help with the transition as a non-officer employee. She retires from Ball on January 31, 2027.
The company said the departures are not related to any disagreement on accounting practices, financial statements, internal controls or operations.
CEO Ron Lewis said in the press release that "Carey and Scott are the right leaders to take these two important business units forward." Both will be responsible for customer relationships, operational execution and financial performance, the release says.
Who the new presidents are
Causey has been chief growth officer since 2024, the release says. She joined Ball in 2014 and ran Beverage Packaging EMEA from 2021 to 2024. Earlier roles were at MWV, The Mosaic Company and Cargill.
Vail has been chief supply chain and operations officer since 2025, leading global manufacturing, supply chain, procurement and operational excellence. He joined in 2021 as vice president of operations for the North and Central America beverage unit, then led the global rollout of Ball Operational Excellence. Before Ball he was president of Metal Container Corporation and held roles at AB InBev.
The releases do not name successors for the chief growth officer or supply chain roles.
Share price and next dates
Ball shares closed at $63.84 in Monday's session, up about 1%, before the filing was accepted at 4:41 p.m. ET.
The company describes itself as employing 16,000 people across more than 65 plants and facilities, with 2025 net sales of $13.16 billion.
The dates to mark are January 1, 2027, when Vail starts in EMEA, and January 31, 2027, when Glew's retirement takes effect.
