Vanguard Capital Management disclosed a passive [5.08% stake](https://www.sec.gov/Archives/edgar/data/0002100119/000210011926001638/xslSCHEDULE%5F13G%5FX01/primary%5Fdoc.xml?ref=bullished.co) in Permian Resources, covering 42,602,572 common shares, in an SEC ownership filing made Friday. The investment adviser listed September 30, 2026 as the date of the event that triggered the report.

## Votes and the percentage

Vanguard Capital Management holds sole voting power [over 6,378,807](https://www.sec.gov/Archives/edgar/data/0002100119/000210011926001638/xslSCHEDULE%5F13G%5FX01/primary%5Fdoc.xml?ref=bullished.co) of the shares and shared voting power over none, the filing shows. The filing also carries a cover-page note that the position includes securities held by several Vanguard affiliates and by Vanguard funds, or parts of them, over which it exercises dispositive power.

The 5.08% is measured on the cover-page basis, which counts securities the holder could acquire within 60 days in both the holding and the share base. It is therefore not strictly a share of currently outstanding stock.

Separately, [GuruFocus reported](https://finance.yahoo.com/markets/stocks/articles/etfs-net-sellers-permian-resources-110302300.html?ref=bullished.co) that ETFs holding the stock were net sellers of $21.6 million on Wednesday, October 28.

Permian Resources is [expected to report](https://finance.yahoo.com/markets/stocks/articles/permian-resources-pr-earnings-expected-130005691.html?.tsrc=rss&ref=bullished.co) results for the quarter ended September on November 4, with a Zacks consensus of $0.60 per share.
