Asked about shareholders who like today's price, he said, "I'd consider it a buy." ## Timeline for the TAE deal McGurn spoke with Axios's Sara Fischer on October 20\. He said Trump Media has filed its S-4, the registration statement for the deal, and is responding to SEC comments, though he thinks the deal will be done by the end of this year. Asked why Wall Street is not rewarding the merger, McGurn answered "Not yet," saying a few more milestones remain before closing. He said both companies have "tremendous conviction" to finish the deal. TAE has not yet picked a new home, he said. Its current base is Irvine, California, which is one of the states under consideration along with about five others. The company will publish the choice as soon as it has it. ## Bitcoin treasury versus a fusion bet Trump Media operates Truth Social and the streaming service Truth+, and it runs a financial services brand, Truth.Fi, built around a bitcoin treasury. Fischer pressed McGurn on TAE having raised doubt about its ability to keep operating, and asked whether Trump Media holders were bailing it out. McGurn said it was the opposite. He described Trump Media's balance sheet as primarily bitcoin and cash, run with a covered-call strategy that generates revenue. The treasury was built, he said, to buy a "crown jewel" asset, which he said is TAE. He said TAE's power solutions business can cut almost as much as 10% of the capital spending on a data center build-out, and that TAE would become cash-positive. Fischer noted those businesses are not cash-positive now. ## Truth API and the stock McGurn said the Truth API, which licenses fast machine-readable access to Truth Social posts, "makes money." Asked how much, he told Fischer to wait for the next quarterly report, due in a couple of weeks. Fischer raised legislation and calls for investigations; McGurn said he has not been contacted about an investigation and called the company one of the most scrutinized businesses. Shares closed at $6.61 on Thursday, down 0.75% from the prior session.
