# PC Connection Names Ex-Tusker CEO Matt Zafirovski President And COO At $700,000 Base Salary

[PC Connection](https://www.bullished.co/tag/cnxn/) said Wednesday that Matthew Zafirovski joined as [President and Chief Operating Officer](https://www.sec.gov/Archives/edgar/data/0001050377/000110465926115770/cnxn-20261008x8k.htm?ref=bullished.co) effective October 12, on a $700,000 annual base salary, according to an [8-K](https://www.bullished.co/learn/8-k-items-explained/) filing. Timothy McGrath stays CEO but stopped serving as president on the same day.

## What the 8-K says

Zafirovski, 41, most recently ran Tusker, a full-service technology solutions provider, as CEO from 2022 to 2026\. He was Tusker's chief operating officer from 2020 to 2022\. The filing also lists leadership roles at Groupon, Apple, McKinsey & Company and Meadowood Associates.

The offer letter is dated October 8\. Beyond the salary, he is eligible for the Executive Bonus Plan at a basic rate of 100% of base salary, subject to performance-based acceleration tables.

He is also to be granted 25,000 restricted stock units, each convertible into one share of common stock. They vest at 25% per year, starting at the first anniversary of the grant date.

If the company ends his employment for any reason other than death, disability or cause, he is owed severance equal to his base salary. It runs for six months or until he finds other work, whichever is shorter.

## What it changes

The president title moves from McGrath to Zafirovski. McGrath, who previously held both titles, continues as CEO, and Zafirovski reports to him, according to the [company's press release](https://www.sec.gov/Archives/edgar/data/0001050377/000110465926115770/cnxn-ex99d1.htm?ref=bullished.co).

The release says that at Tusker, a national IT solutions and services provider, Zafirovski helped nearly double revenue through organic growth, acquisitions and expanded services. The company says it wants him to help accelerate growth, scale capabilities and lift profitability.

"Matt is a proven leader with broad experience across technology, operations, strategy, and business transformation," McGrath said in the release.

In Wednesday trading as of 9:31 a.m. ET, CNXN shares were at $94.47, down 0.79% from the prior close of $95.22.

The filing was signed October 14 by Thomas Baker, the company's chief financial officer; the offer letter is attached as Exhibit 10.1.
