According to an SEC filing, management laid out a path to positive free cash flow and capped new capital raises through fiscal 2030. ## A cash flow promise at Investor Day Oracle's co-CEOs and CFO also reaffirmed the fiscal 2027 outlook at the event, the filing shows. The stock was on pace for its biggest one-day gain since April 13, when it rose 12.7%. The pledge lands on the sore point of the stock's year. Oracle sells software, cloud services and hardware that businesses use to run their IT systems, and it has been spending heavily to build cloud infrastructure for AI workloads. ## Punished for the AI buildout Oracle shares were down about 33% year to date as of Tuesday's close, while the S&P 500 was up about 13% over the same span. On Tuesday the stock had already risen about 4% on [new chip partnerships](https://seekingalpha.com/news/4658111-oracle-perks-up-on-wave-of-new-chip-partnerships-ahead-of-investor-day?ref=bullished.co) ahead of the investor event. In its most recent quarter, Oracle reported [revenue of $19.3 billion](https://www.sec.gov/Archives/edgar/data/1341439/000119312526389274/orcl-20260831.htm?ref=bullished.co), up 30%. Free cash flow was negative $5 billion as it spent on cloud infrastructure, even as operating cash flow hit a record $23 billion. To fund the program, Oracle [sold $20 billion](https://www.thestreet.com/investing/oracle-ai-cloud-funding-gap-google-nvidia?ref=bullished.co) of common stock in that quarter through an at-the-market program, in which a company sells shares gradually into the open market. Its remaining performance obligations, the contracted business it has yet to deliver, stood at $664 billion. ## Guidance and the next report For fiscal 2027, the company said in September it expects [total revenue of at least $90 billion](https://www.sec.gov/Archives/edgar/data/0001341439/000119312526387905/orcl-ex99%5F1.htm?ref=bullished.co) and adjusted earnings per share of $8.10\.
