HubSpot's Chief Legal Officer and Corporate Secretary, Erika Fisher, [told the company on Thursday](https://www.sec.gov/Archives/edgar/data/0001404655/000119312526418574/hubs-20261008.htm?ref=bullished.co) that she is resigning, effective November 6, 2026, according to an 8-K the company filed Friday. The filing says she is leaving to pursue another professional opportunity.

## What the 8-K says

The filing, under [Item 5.02](https://www.sec.gov/Archives/edgar/data/0001404655/000119312526418574/hubs-20261008.htm?ref=bullished.co), the section for departures of senior officers, gives October 8, 2026 as the date Fisher notified [HubSpot](https://www.bullished.co/tag/hubs/) of her decision. It was signed Friday by Chief Financial Officer Kate Bueker.

The company states that her decision was "not the result of any disagreement with the Company on any matter relating to the Company's operations, policies or practices."

Fisher is expected to continue in her current role through the effective date to support an orderly transition of her responsibilities, the filing says.

HubSpot has started a search for a successor Chief Legal Officer. The filing names no replacement and no interim appointee.

## What it changes

HubSpot holds two roles in one position here: Fisher is both its top lawyer and its corporate secretary, and the filing lists both titles. The company now has a search running against a fixed departure date of November 6.

The filing does not describe any compensation arrangement tied to the departure, and it names the successor search as the only next step.

For holders, the filing's own words are the key detail: it rules out a disagreement over operations, policies or practices as the reason for the exit.

## What to watch

The next disclosure to look for is the naming of a permanent or interim Chief Legal Officer. Any such appointment would need to be reported by the company, and Fisher's last day is November 6.

Fisher's resignation takes effect November 6, and the successor search was already under way when the 8-K was filed.
