He set that against 50 gigawatts of installed capacity and said the build-out will last "for many years to come." ## Third raise of the year Ruiz said Eaton raised its 2026 organic growth outlook by 200 basis points (2 percentage points) to a range of 13% to 15%, a 14% midpoint. Full-year adjusted earnings per share guidance rose 25 cents at the midpoint to $13.75, within a $13.70 to $13.80 range. It is the third raise of both measures this year, he said. Third-quarter revenue reached a record $8.9 billion, up 28%, with organic growth of 19%, Ruiz said. Adjusted EPS of $3.68 was a record. Eaton shares rose 5.27% to $385.36 in Tuesday trading. Eaton makes products for data center, utility, industrial, commercial, aerospace and vehicle markets. ## Data centers growing far above plan Ruiz said Eaton's data center sales grew 65% in the quarter and orders rose 101% on a rolling 12-month basis. He noted that the company's long-term plan assumed 17% growth, while the year to date has run at 60%. In closing remarks, Ruiz said that despite the discussions in the market today, data centers have "a very long runaway beyond 28 and 29." He also pointed beyond data centers. Rolling 12-month orders are up about 20% in utilities, 25% in residential and 55% in machine OEM, the makers of industrial machinery, he said. ## Boyd, and no big deals ahead Boyd Thermal, the liquid-cooling business Eaton bought, now has a 2026 revenue outlook of $1.9 billion, the third increase this year. Ruiz said Eaton sees at least $2.7 billion for 2027, roughly 50% growth over the previous $1.8 billion guide. Boyd becomes part of organic growth starting in March. On acquisitions, Ruiz said the company has already put $14 billion to work and that more bolt-ons are likely on the electrical side. "Don't expect any Boyd-sized deal in the next 12 months," he said. Asked about the industry's possible shift from AC to DC power, he said Eaton sells in both architectures, but that the timing of the transition "is not under our control." Eaton will give formal 2027 guidance in February, Ruiz said; CFO Dave Foster said he and Ruiz will review the plans in the third week of November.
