The Andersons, the agriculture and renewable fuels company, [eliminated the position](https://www.sec.gov/Archives/edgar/data/0000821026/000082102626000134/ande-20261021.htm?ref=bullished.co) of Executive Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer Sarah J. Zibbel, according to an 8-K filed Friday. The company told her of the decision on Wednesday, and her employment ends October 31.

## A restructuring takes the role

The company attributed the decision to a restructuring of its human resources department. Zibbel was notified on October 21, and her last day as an employee is October 31, 2026, the filing says.

She qualifies for benefits payable on a qualifying termination under the company's Change in Control & Severance policy.

## What Zibbel keeps and what she loses

Zibbel retains her outstanding restricted stock units, which are stock awards that vest over time. She also stays eligible for a pro-rated portion of the performance share units granted in 2024.

Those units pay out based on actual performance through the three-year period ending in 2026\. Her performance share units granted in 2025 and 2026 will be forfeited.

## The business behind the department

The Andersons is a North American agriculture and renewable fuels company. Its Agribusiness segment trades and moves grains, feed ingredients and fuel products, runs grain elevators in the United States and Canada, and makes and sells plant nutrients. Its Renewables segment operates four ethanol plants in Iowa, Indiana, Michigan and Ohio with a combined nameplate capacity of 405 million gallons.

As of December 31, 2025, the company had 2,137 employees at about 180 locations in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, Mexico, Romania and Singapore, according to its annual report. That workforce is the one the eliminated role oversaw.

Zibbel's pay-out on the 2024 performance share units will track the company's actual results through the performance period ending in 2026.
